How to learn English

How to learn English is a question I get asked a lot. The short answer is step one — listen to English language content on the web. This means reading articles, listening to podcasts and watching videos. When it comes to quantity, I'd say reading and listening are a tie. Video is better suited to learning because you can clip key phrases and improve your grammar use by watching videos.

Learn English by watching movies. This will help you practice speaking and writing. English is not hard to learn, but it takes time and money. The best way to learn English is by watching English movies which are dubbed into English (sometimes with excellent directorial work). Many learners prefer to watch dubbed movies because they can see what's going on at any given moment without having to read every word; they can just concentrate on listening and watching (what's happening within the movie) instead of struggling to understand every word as it's being spoken.

Learn English with native speakers is an activity that will immediately improve your chances of finding a job in a foreign country. It can also help boost your self-confidence and make you feel more connected to your international community. Going to a language school or joining a language club can both help and hinder your career opportunities depending on where you're learning and what type of role you're playing in it.
